The Crises of the Christ, almost from its initial publication (1903), has been regarded as one of G. Campbell Morgan's finest works. It is structured as a "Life of Christ", focusing in specific detail on a number of key parts of the Gospel witness, including the Birth, Baptism, Temptation, Transfiguration, Passion, Resurrection, and Ascension. In equal measure homiletic and devotional, Morgan's treatment of the subject does not shy away from some of the more controversial theological and critical questions. Always, however, he keeps the discussion rooted in a popular, readable style.
Discussion of relevant Scripture sections, in the various chapters, can be accessed by Bible verse from the Commentary menu (under "Additional Commentary Material"). The work is also accessible from the Books menu under "Works of G. Campbell Morgan".
