This work—The Living Pulpit of the Christian Church—is subtitled A Series of Discourses, Doctrinal and Practical. These are messages from the early decades of the Disciples of Christ tradition, the movement begun by Alexander Campbell in the early-mid 19th century. Edited and arranged by William Thomas (W. T.) Moore, the sermons and messages in this collection come from notable representatives of the Disciples tradition in America. Some of these preachers and teachers are familar to the wider Church (e.g. J. W. McGarvey, Robert Milligan), while others are little known outside of their tradition. Each message is prefaced by a biographical introduction. Evangelical in orientation, with a strong emphasis on Baptism, even those coming out of different denominational backgrounds are sure to find much in this collection that is useful and rewarding.
This material can be accessed under the "Sermons" category in both the Commentary and Books menus.
