After the Resurrection: Notes, Articles, and Sermons on the Ascension and First Chapters of Acts

An original collection of classic commentary, critical notes, articles and sermons on Birth of the Church—the Ascension, Pentecost and the first Chapters of the Book of Acts. This work is divided into four sections:

• Critical Notes—Taken from classic text-critical and exgetical Commentaries, such as those of Henry Alford, J. A. Bengel, the Cambridge Greek Testament, and the Expositor's Greek Testament
• Articles—Culled from journals, monographs and other published works by leading New Testament scholars and historians from the early twentieth-century
• Homiletics—Analysis and Exposition from such classic works as Lange's Commentaries, the Expositor's Bible, the Preacher's Complete Homiletical Commentary, and more
• Sermons—Select sermons from some of the greatest and best-loved preachers in history, including Chrysostom, Martin Luther, John Wesley, Charles Spurgeon, A. B. Simpson, G. Campbell Morgan, and others

In addition, there is an Appendix of bonus material, including two articles from Biblesoft's online Study Blog—"Where Did Jesus Go? Critical Notes on the Ascension" and "The Sending of the Spirit".
