Biblesoft is pleased to offer this 12-volume collection of works by pioneering critical scholar Joseph Barber (J. B.) Lightfoot (1828-89). In addition to his important publications on the Greek New Testament and the Early Church, Lightfoot was a distinguished theologian and English Churchman, serving as canon of St. Paul's cathedral in London, and as bishop of Durham (from 1879). His writings remain highly valued today, especially his critical edition of the Apostolic Fathers (1885-90, included in this collection), which has seen numerous editions and popular reprints.
