The Bible in Art. The sixth volume in the Visual Bible Image Archive, by Dr. V. Gilbert Beers.
Availability date:
Note: This title is one-sixth of the Visual Bible Image Archive. The entire collection is available (at a bundled discount) here.
Loaded with complementary resources which help explain the images, Biblesoft’s Visual Bible Image Archive helps you find topical information about images and stories, as well as get a better understanding of the environment and gain perspective. You can find Bible verses that relate to an image or full encyclopedic articles explaining its historical context. Detailed maps help you understand how a person, place, event, or object relates to the surrounding area.
Interlinking keyword associations bind all the images into a context. You can search on a Biblical word or phrase to find images that meet your needs. You can also begin your search from a Bible verse or verse range to collect images based on the important words in the text. All images have associated keyword lists attached, so a single search can ultimately lead to a rich path of discovery.
Each image is fully integrated into PC Study Bible with its links to commentaries, encyclopedias, dictionaries and Bibles.
Considered dean of modern Bible storytellers, Dr. Beers has served as Editorial Director at David C. Cook Publishing and Executive Editor of Christianity Today. He is also the author of over 150 books, with 13 million copies in print.
Collecting visual imagery for Bible stories and teaching resources has been a passion of his, and Visual Bible Image Archive series represents 50 years of his effort.
