This 2-book bundle, by renowned scholar E.W. Christology of the Old Testament: Commentary on the Messianic Passages

This is perhaps Hengstenberg's best-known work -- Christologie des Alten Testaments ("Christology of the Old Testament"), written while he was still a young scholar (in his late twenties). The second edition (3 vols) was published in 1854-57, with our English translation (4 volumes) in 1863.

The work is subtitled, "Commentary on the Messianic Passages", and we have made it function as a full-fledged Biblesoft Commentary. It covers all the key passages from the Pentateuch and the Prophets.

All footnotes are included! There is extensive Hebrew and Greek text cited throughout. References to the writings of Josephus, the Pseudepigrapha, and the Church Fathers, are tagged.

Note: OT references cite the Hebrew chapter/versing. All OT links, unless otherwise specified, bring up the Westminster Leningrad Hebrew text.
