John MacArthur, Jr. (BA, Pacific College; MDiv, DD, Talbot Theological Seminary), became pastor of Grace Community Church of the Valley in Panorama City, California in 1969. In 1985, John became president of The Master's College, an accredited, four-year, liberal arts Christian college. In 1986, John founded The Master's Seminary, a graduate school dedicated to training men for full-time pastoral roles and missionary work. He is president and featured teacher of Grace to You, the nonprofit organization responsible for developing, producing, and distributing John's books, audiocassettes, and the "Grace to You" radio program, which airs more than 800 times daily around the world. Since completing his first bestselling book, The Gospel According to Jesus, in 1988, John has written dozens of books and distributed millions of copies worldwide. He and his wife, Patricia, live in Southern California and have four grown children and eleven grandchildren.
