Charles Grandison Finney (August 29, 1792 – August 16, 1875) - An american preacher and leader in the second Great Awakening. Finney served as president of Oberlin College and contributed to the abolitionist movement and the underground railroad.
Known to some as the "Father of Modern Revivalism", Finney was an avid preacher and revivalist located primarily in New York state. In addition to his work as an evangelist he founded his church, Broadway Tabernacle.
