Charles C. Ryrie's years of study, teaching and writing make him exceptionally qualified to help readers grasp the Bible's fundamental truths. The Ryrie Study Notes -- Expanded Edition has unique features that make it an over 2 million copy best-seller.
This 1995 expanded version of Ryrie's work features 10,000 concise explanatory notes and includes an amazing array of other indispensable information that is acclaimed for its scholarly nature yet understandable, easy-to-read format.
Excellent outlines, book introductions, and quality notes, as well as a lengthy Synopsis of Bible Doctrine are all worthy of note. This is probably the most consistently annotated study Bible available, both qualitatively and doctrinally. There is a wealth of other information including:
•Introduction to each book of the Bible
•Introductions to the Old and New Testaments & the Gospels
•Daily Bible readings linked to any Bible in your PC Study Bible Library
•A Harmony of the Gospels
•A Survey of Church History, including the 20th Century
•A Topical Index of Scripture
•A Synopsis of Bible Doctrine
•Understanding the Bible
•Archaeology of the Bible
•How We Got the Bible
•And many more extra charts and tables to increase your knowledge and understanding
The original Ryrie was somewhat criticized for its limited amount and extent of notes. However the Ryrie Study Notes, Expanded Edition strikes a good balance between limiting the material and including too much information -- making the work unwieldy and inaccessible for non-academics.
Unchanged is Ryrie's characteristic fearless confrontation of some of today's more controversial verses. This work is very clear in presenting literal understandings of passages sometimes dismissed as embellishments of the truth, and rightly defends the inspiration and infallibility of Scripture.
The Berean Bible is a three-tiered study Bible to connect you from a smooth and accurate translation through to the root of the Greek and Hebrew meanings, incorporating three main components:
1. An interlinear Bible to directly follow the Greek and Hebrew texts. 2. A literal translation to take the reader to the core of the Greek and Hebrew meanings. 3. A modern English translation, effective for public reading, memorization, and evangelism.
Each of these components have been integrated for use by Biblesoft. You will find four different versions of the Berean Bible under your "Bibles" menu:
