The Daily Bible Reading by John G. Butler consists of four complementary volumes in a devotional format. The first volume is a synopsis of each Scripture reading for every day of the year. The second and third volumes contain sermonettes from a verse, or verse range selected out of each day's Scripture reading. The fourth book contains study questions with answers on the day's Scripture reading.
These devotional volumes are intended to help and encourage people to read through the Bible at least once a year and to read through the Bible and comprehend more through interactive questions that can be filled in for comparison to the author's answers. The readings seek to provide an introduction to the day's Scripture, not to supplant it. This devotional seeks to encourage a daily habit of Scripture reading essential to anyone desiring to have a vibrant spiritual life.
